Working With EzyTray (also known as EzyStrut's ET, ET3, or ET5 Cable Tray)
EzyStrut's EzyTray is not called EzyTray for no reason... it is remarkably very easy to work with. The EzyTray range of cable tray products provides outstanding on-site flexibility in terms of its application: Bends, Tees, Crosses and Risers can all be created with the help of a few simple cuts to the tray and the full gamete of accessories available at EzyStrut, allowing the installer to snake their cable work in EzyTray around, over or under various obstacles onsite with a minimum of fuss.
To form a bend in the tray for example, all a contractor need do is perform some cuts into the one side rail of the EzyTray. The cuts should be dropped between the rungs of the tray. When the cuts are made, the tray can be easily opened up to form a 90 degree turn. To replace the now cut and spread side rail, the intelligent radius plate product is used. Simply cut the radius plate to the length required and bolt it to the open side of the EzyTray, reinforcing the bend. If this sounds complicated, don’t worry, David Morrison has been caught on video performing the process from start to finish. You can check it out here.
If your situation calls for an external or internal riser (that is, bending the tray at a right angle up or down) the process is very similar. This time, you’ll need to apply some cuts into both sides of the tray. After making those cuts, simply bolt in some EzyTray riser link plates to direct your tray upwards or downwards.
As for tees and crosses, use of the EzyTray “TX” brackets is recommended. Again, cut and remove the desired width of side rail from your EzyTray and the TX brackets can be bolted onto another length of tray to reinforce the junctions of your tee pieces or cross pieces.
All of these accessories are available in either pre-galvanised or hot-dip galvanised finish, meaning all possible bases are covered – check out the EzyStrut Cable Supports catalogue for further details, or simply contact your local branch for further information.

"It's so easy working with EzyStrut!"
EzyStrut is very proud to have worked with some of the largest and most important mining and infrastructure projects in Australia and overseas. We've supplied cable ladder systems to carry power underground in Sydney, kitted out electronic and data systems with tray in office blocks, shopping centres and other commercial constructions, and designed custom cable management networks for petrochemical, mine sites, and desalination plants. Whilst these major assignments are exciting and EzyStrut is devoted to ensuring they are completed on time and within budget, we also care deeply for those jobs that are of a much smaller scale. We understand that your clients are just as significant to you as the large projects are to us. Whether you're helping to install a simple refrigeration system at the local takeaway, rigging up a movable television screen for a client with a home cinema, or just fixing up the air-conditioning and dust extraction at a small factory, EzyStrut is committed to offering the product to meet your needs. Furthermore, with a large dealer network of some of Australia's most respected electrical and plumbing wholesalers in all the capitals and regional centres, it is simple for anyone in our industry to get their hands on what they need, when they need it. We have over 2,500 off the shelf cable and pipe support products with our range of strut, cable tray, ladder, pipe hangers and accessories and fittings. At EzyStrut, we aim to be easy to work with, whatever the project! 24/11/2011

A Visually Appealing Cable Tray
The ET3, and its bigger brother the ET5 cable trays are strong, versatile, easy to install while also being visually appealing for when your cable supports are exposed and going to be seen. The ET3 (height 47mm) and the ET5 (height 85mm) are both available in Pre-galvanised or Hot Dip Galvanised steel, and are also extra safe with no sharp edges that could damage cables. The cable trays are also complemented with a full range of accessories allowing for bends, tees, crosses and risers to be fabricated quickly on site. ET3 and ET5 are also manufactured to Pre-galvanised AS1397, Hot Dip Galvanised AS4680:2006, and ISO1461. All of these features allow the ET3 and ET5 ultimate performance with higher load capacity and greater spans compared to other cable tray systems for commercial or industrial installation and they are now the highest regarded cable trays in the industry in Australia.
Flat, peaked, or peaked and vented, covers are also available from EzyStrut for the ET3 and ET5.

The Nema 12A Standard for Cable Ladder
EzyStrut manufactures a range of cable ladder sizes conforming to load requirements. One of these is the Nema 1 Cable Ladder, conforming to Nema 12A loading requirements.
Nema, which stands for National Electrical Manufacturers Association is a US organisation who's standards for electrical equipment are recognised all over the world.
To meet the Nema 12A specification, a cable ladder has to support a rated load of 112kg per metre over a span of 3m. EzyStrut's Nema 1 Cable Ladder (sold in standard 3m lengths) meets this standard.

EzyStrut EzyMesh, The Right Choice in Cable Mesh
With all of today's High Tech Data Cable Installations EzyStrut has come up with a practical and easy solution to cater for the needs of customers installing Communications Cabling in an easier and more efficient way.
By listening to Installers within the industry, EzyStrut has designed EzyMesh to be a complete system that is cost competitive, with less down-time on installation, light and easy to install and designed to be installed in many different ways. Our cable support customers asked, and we listened.
The EzyMesh primary application is Communication Cabling like RG6, RG59, Cat5e, Cat6e where weight is a minimum, but still requires a 40mm high side to accommodate larger cables if required. Standard sizes are 150mm, 300mm, 450mm and 600mm.
EzyMesh comes in 3m lengths, Zinc Finish as Standard and is supported by many accessories like Notched Trapezes for suspending applications, as well as Notched Cantilever Brackets and Wall Mounting Bracket Systems for Horizontal and Vertical wall placement applications, specially designed notched 3 meter EzyMesh Strut for easy placement, horizontally or vertically. Whatever the application, EzyMesh has you covered.
Another great feature of EzyMesh is the Bolt Joiner Kits, with these on-site, you can do all your Bends, Tees, Crosses and Risers. No need to order these premade, just cut the EzyMesh to the desired Radius, bolt on the Joiner Kits and away you go, saving time along the way.
EzyStrut have even worked out how many cuts it takes to make 150mm, 300mm, 450mm and 600mm Radius Bends, Tees and Risers.
Check out the catalogue for more information. If a customer has an application where they need EzyMesh in Hot Dipped Galvanised or 316 Grade Stainless Steel, no problem, it comes in those finishes also.
Rated to NEMA Standard VE1-2002, with the standard Suspending Span at 1.5m, EzyMesh can take 109kg per metre and a deflection of only 9mm, testament to EzyMesh's superior design using Side and Bottom Joiners for easy installation. Like all EzyStrut's strut, cable tray, cable ladder, cantilever brackets, and pipe supports, EzyMesh cable mesh is strong and durable.
EzyMesh, we listened.

EzyStrut FRP Cable Ladder
Complimenting its range of Steel and Aluminium Cable Ladder, EzyStrut has a range of Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) Cable Ladder and Strut. EzyStrut's Nema 2 Cable Ladder and accessories, along with E1000 Strut are also available in FRP versions.
Pultruded FRP products are made with the combination of fibreglass reinforcements and thermosetting resins. Pultruded FRP is made where glass fibre, otherwise known as roving, is pulled through a bath of liquid resin and is later solidified into the required profile. It is this continuous process that actually gives EzyStrut's FRP Cable Supports a reinforced structure, with greater strength to take heavy loads. FRP products have several advantages such as being durable, lightweight and easy to transport and work with, and a very high strength to weight ratio. They are also non-conductive and non-magnetic resulting in no interference with electromagnetic or radio waves. EzyStrut's FRP products are also very safe: They conform with international electrical safety specifications and are manufactured to be fire retardant, to: ASTM E84 Class A Standard for Surface Burning BA476 Part 7 Class 1 & Class 2 Building Standard for Flame Retardance UL94 Flammability Standard IEC 60695 - 960°C Temperature Flammability Index EzyStrut's FRP Cable Ladder also meets the loading requirements of NEMA 16A classification.
